The amazing true story of a man who has a gift and illness
and a way to touch people he will never meet.
I watched this story tonight on 60 minutes, then visited the website. I can already tell this will be one of my all time favorite movies, *The Pursuit of Happiness* is on the list as well. Can you tell I have a theme here…homelessness.
It’s not always about people making the choice to be strung out on drugs or alcohol. A mental illness is just that, and illness that you have, it’s not a choice. Yes, you do have the choice to take medications and try to get help. Good gravy, seems he went down that path with a supportive family who thought they were doing the right thing with *alternative medicine* in those days. Shock therapy, I can’t say I wish that on my enemies. Yes, it’s true, some people don’t like my *crumbs*.

If I found out the Mr. Ayers was to play with the symphony in California, I would try to figure out a way to make it to one of his performances…with tissue box in tow…
This is a movie I will wait to watch in the comfort of my home–just like I did with the Pursuit movie with Will Smith. Because I know it will bring some tears, memories, revisiting some of my past. And thinking about where I am today. This is another example of how powerful a movie can be. I can’t wait to see it, and I know it will forever change me.
Life does indeed have a mind of it’s own.

to the sometimes silent world around you
